Simplify and facilitate business and entrepreneurship as well as deepen cooperation.
We need an enhanced level of professionalism among both our private and public stakeholders in the tourism industry in the High Coast. The system consists of many stakeholders: private companies, municipalities, the County Administration Board of Västernorrland, Region Västernorrland, Höga Kusten Turism, Höga Kusten Destinationsutveckling and other business organisations, private stakeholders, the volunteer sector and promoters.
In order to be able to continue to strengthen cooperation between these various stakeholders, we need to take the next step in our development as a professional tourism industry with a clear division of roles and well-oiled machinery. For this reason, we will be prioritising refining and developing cooperation between our various stakeholders who are involved in the tourism industry and the tourism industry’s promoters and interested parties. This will contribute to increased effectiveness as well as agreement and responsibility in the realisation of our goals.
Businesses and entrepreneurs are an important part of an attractive destination. They create jobs and develop attractions in a destination. The High Coast has many companies operating at the forefront of their sectors when it comes to sustainability and digital maturity. These companies should be able to feel that they can develop further, at the same time as new entrepreneurs are attracted to the High Coast. In order for businesses to be able to develop in the long term, we need to increase our supply of skilled workers. Towards 2030, it will therefore become important for business and entrepreneurship to be simplified and facilitated in the destination.
Based on today’s global challenges, our own strengths and weaknesses as well as our vision and our goals, we have identified five strategic areas and associated sub-strategies that we have identified as areas we need to work with in order to reach success as we move towards 2030.
