Communication continues to be a strategy of priority as we head towards 2030, in order for us to further strengthen our brand. We also need to work further on building more personal, longer-term relationships with our visitors.
With increased global competition, we need to reach out with our message to our destination’s potential visitors. Developing the way we communication is key to our success. This requires focus, decisiveness and that we think strategically regarding how, when, what and with whom we communicate. Communication therefore continues to be a strategy of priority as we head towards 2030. The High Coast wants to be an attractive destination for visitors and a place where people choose to live and work.
Competition for people’s time and attention is increasing and the world is moving increasingly faster and becoming increasingly complex. In order for the High Coast to be able to reach the right visitors at the right time, we need to increase communication and work more on smarter and better marketing. Our visitors want to feel important, seen and prioritised. They want to feel welcome and genuine, personal and honest encounters with people are becoming more and more important. Here we return to our campfire perspective again. By both developing and building on our core values and caring about our basic attitudes, we can build more personal, long-term relationships with our visitors.
The High Coast needs a bold digital strategy to be able to compete on the increasingly digitalised global destination market. This means that we need to be better at taking advantage of opportunities and meeting the challenges that come with digitalisation. We need to identify and use better tools for customer knowledge, marketing, sales, bookings and follow-ups. We need to be better at collecting, analysing and applying customer data.
Based on today’s global challenges, our own strengths and weaknesses as well as our vision and our goals, we have identified five strategic areas and associated sub-strategies that we have identified as areas we need to work with in order to reach success as we move towards 2030.
